A 37-year-old Newport woman was arrested and charged with strangulation, endangering welfare of children — two Newport males, 11 and 12 years old, and a Newport female, 6 years old — simple assault and harassment on Mulberry Street between July 1 and Aug.

Ronald Swartz, 68, of Elliottsburg was arrested for allegedly assaulting an Elliottsburg woman at 3 p.m., Aug.

13, in the 5800 block of Erly Road, Saville Twp.

A 25-year-old Newport woman, driving a 2015 Subaru Crosstrek, was stopped by state police for multiple traffic violations on Route 22 West in Howe Twp. at 2:38 a.m., Aug.

15. She was arrested for DUI and drug possession.

A catalytic converter on a 1996 Jeep Cherokee was reported stolen on Paradise Road, Wheatfield Twp., at 3:21 p.m., Aug.

Several windows were broken between Aug.

26 and 29 at Christ Lutheran Church in the first block of W. High Street in New Bloomfield. Damage was set at £100.

A 22-year-old Loysville woman is accused of the unauthorized use of a Loysville man’s 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt and a debit card at the Red Carpet Inn, Duncannon, Aug.

A 16-year-old male leaving a driveway in a 2004 Dodge Dakota in the 100 block of Bower Ridge Road in Saville Twp. was struck by a southbound 1997 Nissan NX at 3:37 p.m., Sept.

The teen was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. He was cited with vehicle entering or crossing roadway.

The other driver was using a seat and was not injured.

Landisburg Fire Company and EMS assisted at the scene.

A red, Coleman gas-powered minibike was found at 2:16 p.m., Sept.

16, in the 200 block of N. Carlisle Street, New Bloomfield.

A pair of eyeglasses was found near the New Bloomfield Post Office on E.

McClure Street, at 6:10 p.m., Sept.

A Liverpool man reported the theft of a 16-foot, dark green Sea Nymph, value of £2,000, and an outboard jet motor, value of £5,000, between Sept.

21 and 23 in the 900 block of N. Front Street, Liverpool. Police a locked chain securing the vessel to the shore was cut.

Chad Faus, 42, of Lewistown was traveling east on Route 322 in Buffalo Twp. when his 2019 Ford Fusion struck an embankment at 4:36 a.m., Sept.

Faus, who was using a seat belt, was transported to Holy Spirit Hospital by Newport EMS with minor injuries. He was cited with driving on roadways laned for traffic.

The car was towed by Fry’s Towing.

Kevin Rager, 38, of McClure was traveling west on Route 322 in Greenwood Twp. when his 2006 Subaru Forester struck the trailer on a 2012 Ford F-450 and an embankment at 3:56 p.m., Sept.

22, near Owl Hollow Road.

Rager was using a seat belt and was not injured. He was cited with driving at safe speed.

The other driver and a passenger were wearing seat belts and were not injured.

The Forester was towed by Fry’s Towing.

Kaycee Danner, 23, of Shermans Dale was traveling south on Mountain View Road in Carroll Twp. when she lost control of her 2001 Nissan Sentra on a left curve and struck a utility pole at 4:05 p.m., Sept.

Danner was using a seat belt and had a minor injury. She was cited with driving on roadways laned for traffic.

A passenger was in a booster seat and was not injured.

Shermans Dale Fire Company and EMS assisted at the scene. The car was towed.

Shaneria Poole, 30, of Shippensburg was driving west on Shermans Valley Road in N.E.

Madison Twp. when she lost control of her 2011 Kia Sorento on a right curve and struck a utility pole at 6:57 p.m., Sept.

22, near Fort Robinson Road.

Poole was using a seat belt and was taken to UPMC Carlisle by Landisburg EMS because of a medical episode, police said. She was cited with driving while operating privilege suspended or revoked.

Landisburg Fire Company and J.T. Smith Towing assisted at the scene.

A 33-year-old Harrisburg man crashed a 2016 Scion on Route 849 in Penn Twp. at 7:10 p.m., Sept.

22. DUI charges against him are pending a toxicology report.

A vehicle struck the front of the Jackson Twp. municipal building, causing minor damage to exterior siding and interior drywall, at 12:52 p.m., Sept.

23, in the 800 block of Fowler Hollow Road. The vehicle left the scene.

A 13-year-old Newport female was charged with harassment through district court following a physical altercation with another Newport female at N.

Sixth and Gantt streets at 8:30 p.m., Sept.

Erica Finton, 35, of Newport pulled into the path of an eastbound 2012 Chevrolet Impala with her 2005 Subaru Legacy in the 3400 block of Shermans Valley Road in Tyrone Twp. at 4:13 p.m., Sept.

27, causing a collision. Both vehicles then struck an unoccupied 2016 Dodge Caravan.

Finton was using a seat belt and was not injured. She was cited with vehicle entering or crossing highway.

The other driver, who was using a seat belt, was taken to Holy Spirit Hospital by Landisburg EMS with minor injuries.

The Subaru and Chevrolet were towed.

Emily Johnson, 22, of New Bloomfield was traveling north on Spring Road in Centre when her 2018 Jeep Compass was struck by a southbound 2004 Acura TL while she was attempting to turn left onto Jericho Road at 5:57 p.m., Sept.

27. A 2008 Chevrolet Silverado, stopped on Jericho, was struck in the accident.

Johnson was using a seat belt and wasn’t injured. She was charged for the incident.

The driver of the Silverado was using a seat belt and was not injured.

The driver and a passenger in the Acura were in safety restraints and were not injured.

A front-seat passenger was transported by New Bloomfield EMS for a medical evaluation.

The Jeep and Acura were towed.
